Raise You to 13
last night, i watched efren reyes beat (current world champion) alex pagulayan in a raise-to-13 pool match. they were even at 12-all, with bata having the advantage. before his last ball, he tapped his chest 3 times, nervous but grinning. i really liked that scene. seconds later, the 9th ball went into the corner pocket. Yehey!!! I cant get enough of that boyish smile. No airs to that guy, even after all the winnings.
Anyway, speaking of corners, in feng shui, the southeast corner of the room*, is where the love area lies. In my fensgshui-junkie days, i used to to fill it with things in pairs, earthenware, yellows, and pinks. i got this email from a taurean friend that i had printed out and placed there too, it's of a naked guy with a matching prayer for the kind of man one wanted. Hehe.
It's cute. but i think i want my own list. Here's 13:
- Forget the flowers, try good manners
- Believe that laughter is the best medicine :-)
- Learn to love walking, and walk faster so i won't leave you behind.
- Learn to love my music, it's so much easier to emote when the guy can relate :-D
- Come fly with me! Indoor fun is nice, but let's see the world too. and the moon, of course ;-)
- Read books. Listen to stories.
- Talk-- chat, blog, email, snailmail, text, call.
- Don't care about my weight, i won't ask you to lift me up. Just occassionaly, my spirits :-)
- Be better @ something. I'll try to beat you :-p
- think positive. think happy thoughts. think peter pan. but grow up. :-D
- Be nice and decent. But tell the truth.
- Believe in spirit.
- Have a heart. If you tremble indignation at every injustice then you are a comrade of mine. - Ernesto Che Guevara
*southeast corner could be southeast from the door, or by using a compass. i used to worry over which way is more authentic, but themundaneandthedivine pansy and i, we agreed (didnt we?) that it's whatever works for you ;-) feng shui after all, involves lots of common sense. i dont claim to be a feng shui expert, hahaha, far from it, but it's a lot of fun when one doesnt get too bogged down by the details, by the rules. It's more about believing that things could work out, could be better when they're moved in what feels like the 'right' directions. ;-)
